Gilbert Jovit Obina, 85, of Hauula, Oahu, passed away on March 11, 2016. He was born in Kohala, Hawaii on July 29, 1930. He retired 20 Years as an Administration specialist in the Armed Forces & 20 Years as a Purchasing Manager with the Polynesian Cultural Center. He was married to the late Mary Louise Lindsey for 51 years. He is survived by his sons James, Jovit, and Paul; his daughters Pearl Botelho, Vena Marks, Tina Marie Paaaina, and Lindsey Fay Kaneakalau; his sisters Dora Ziemike, Helen Faisca, Lucy Crietto, and Millie Obina. Gilbert is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, and 14 great great grandchildren. The family has chosen to hold private services.
