Obituary for Mary Karleen Teixeira
Mary Karleen Teixeira, 68, of Waianae, died on Saturday, April 14, 2017. She was born in Hilo, Hawaii and is the daughter of the late William and Mary Ellen (Botelho) Arruda. The oldest of 3 beautiful girls, her sisters, Sara Ann and Wilma live with their spouses in Oahu and Iowa respectively.
Married for 33 years, Mary and her late husband Charles raised their 3 children, Charleen, Rain and Robert in Waianae, Hawaii. Possessing a true servant’s heart, Mary faithfully cared for family and friends through delicious cooking/baking from scratch. She loved sewing and crafting. A woman of faith, Mary shaped their spirituality by her tireless Christian example and service in the Catholic church.
Mary was predeceased by her husband Charles Raymond Teixeira III, great-grandson Gabriel Isaiah John Fiti Maile and grand-daughter Abigail-Lynzie Charleen Swift.
Her surviving family members include: Sisters: Sara Ann (Michael) Pacheco and Wilma (Dan) Rodgers
Mother of 3 Children: Charleen (Kalei) Pule, Rain (Jay) Swift, Robert (Jennifer) Teixeira
Grandmother to 12: Sabeena, Liutau and John Maile, Kuni, Isaiah and Kyomi Pule, Lauren, Jayson and Jay Swift Jr., Iwalani, Ihilani and Johanna Teixeira.
Private services will be held.
The family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers and support in many heart-felt forms from so many people.
