Ryder Onopa, MD passed away from cancer on August 17, 2017, He died peacefully at home in Maunawili valley, in the arms of his family. He was thirty years old. He graduated from Punahou School in 2005, Columbia University in 2009 and from the John A Burns School of Medicine at the University of Hawaii in 2014. His life was short but full and rich, marked by excellence in everything he did, kindness and thoughtfulness and courage. He had a loving and philosophical temperament and an exceptional scientific mind. He touched many people.
An open service will be held in honor of his life and legacy, at the Punahou Thurston Memorial Chapel on Saturday October 21, at 2:30 PM with visitation shortly before
