Obituary for Manu

Daniel Manuho’a Woodward Kapu took his last breath on February 27, 2018 surrounded by his family.
Born on November 7, 1945 at Kahuku Hospital and raised in Punaluu, Oahu.

Manu as he was lovingly known as by family and close friends, attended Kahuku High School. Manu wore many hats when it came to his choices in work. He worked on a Aku fishing boat, at Coco Joes making figurines than he entered the construction field later becoming a Mason for RKL Concrete where he retires, he also joined Kamehameha School where he later retires from their maintenance department. He even ran a catering business for some time as he loved to cook and entertain people. Manu had a smile that could light a room and a heart that many came to know and love as he showed and loved those who had the privilege of becoming part of his circle.
Daniel Manuho’a Woodward Kapu leaves behind the love of his life Dansette “Aunty Pua” Martinez, daughter Danal (Edgar) Kapu, Grand Children Ke’Alaula, Kala’i and Anela. Step-daughter Liona Freitas Hanai Son’s Ben Shafer, Byron (Kim)Martinez, Gordon (Donna)Martinez, Hanai daughters Lena (Darryl) Soliven, & Trisha Renaud. Hanai Grand Children, Lethe, Lauren,DJ, Dezmond, Rachel, Whitney, Haley, Tiara, Stella, Brandon, Braelyn, Bronson, Britanie, & Brody. Many great grand children as well as nieces and nephews that he loved very much.

Visitation 9:00 am Thursday March 22, 2018 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Hauula Makai Chapel, Services 11:00 am . Burial to follow at Hauula Cemetery. Casual attire . Flowers welcome.
