Life Story for Raynette Ku'uipo Makepa (Keamohuli)

Raynette Ku'uipo (Keamohuli) Makepa of Wai'anae, Hawaii passed away on Friday, November 9, 2018. She was 76 years old. Raynette was born and raised on 'Auwaiolimu St. in Pauoa, Hawaii and the only daughter of George and Henrietta(Kaleponi)Keamohuli.Her brothers, all of whom preceded her in death included James (aka Jake), William (aka Coppa), Charles (aka Sonny), Raymond (aka Ray) and Robert (aka Paka) Keamohuli and Nuna Puha. She is also preceded in death by her husband Samuel John Kamauoha Makepa. Raynette is survived by sons, Samuel (Marie), Sandy (Karie)and Nicholas (Cheryl) and daughters, Renee Makepa-Cowell (Edward), Jan Makepa-Maynes (Robin Sr.), and Alyson Makepa-McRay (Lee), 20 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, numerous step grand/great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. A private viewing for her immediate family will be held at Ballard Mortuary before her cremation. A Ho'olewa picnic is scheduled for a later time in April 2019. Family and friends will be notified when a date, place and time has been set. Her 'Ohana would like to thank all of you for your loving thoughts, prayers and support. We are truly and humbly appreciative. "The world's population of Pure Hawaiians just got a little smaller , our family just got a little smaller" (Alohi Vierra).
