Tamotsu Wakui, 81, of Honolulu born in Waialua, retired teacher, Korean war veteran, passed away on September 22,2016. He resided and worked in San Jose and San Francisco, California for many years after graduating college, then he returned to Hawaii and entered teaching. He always wanted to teach in Hawaii. He is survived by his wife Glenna; daughter Claire; brothers Lawrence and Teruki; sisters Florence Ogawa and Jean Funakoshi; brother and sister in law Bill and Aileen Au, sister in law Kathryn Chung; and cousins. Burial will be held at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific "Punchbowl" No Flowers.
