Condolence: This is posted on Friday, February 17,2017. I am totally shocked and deeply saddened. I am an old friend and co-worker of Mike. We met when we both worked for the Navy in Oakland, CA.I had not talked to him since late last summer.. I called this evening. His telephone number was no longer active. I searched online for a new contact number. I saw the notice of obituary. Please, anyone, contact me so that I can talk to others who cared for Mike. I especially want to stay in touch with Ava, who Mike loved so very much. She is a wonderful girl. Mike brought Ava to San Francisco with him three years ago. My wife Joan and I spent many hours together with Mike and Ava. One day we all went to visit my daughter Elisabeth's family. Ava played all day in perfect harmony with our grandchildren, Eva and Nate. Tell Ava that I am the guy who sent her the stuffed cable car.
